AKWA UTD EXTEND DANA AIRLINES FLIGHT PARTNERSHIP

Two-time Nigeria Federation Cup Champions, Akwa United Football Club have extended their flight partnership agreement with Dana Airlines for another one year.

At a brief ceremony at the conference room at the Nest of Champions in Uyo, Chairman of Akwa United Elder Paul Bassey signed the agreement on behalf of the club, while the media manager of Dana Air, Mr. Kingsley Ezenwa, appended his signature for the domestic air carrier.

In his remark, Dana Air representative Mr. Kingsley Ezenwa said the company has enjoyed a rewarding partnership with Akwa United and that prompted the airline to extend the deal for another year.

“Akwa United is one of the biggest football brands in Nigeria and we are proud to have partnered with you. Permit me to say that the partnership deal we entered into with you last season has been beneficial to us and we hope that this new deal will be more rewarding to Akwa United and Dana Air “.

“We love Akwa United and the people of Akwa Ibom State for all the support we have enjoyed in the last ten years of our operation in Nigerian air space. We will continue to partner this team because we believe that Akwa United will bring honour to this state and the country very soon”.

Chairman of Akwa United, Elder Paul Bassey described Dana Airlines as worthy partners and expressed delight that the contract has been extended for another year.

“We are particularly grateful to Dana Airlines for this amazing partnership with our club. This partnership has relieved us of the stress of tedious road travels to league matches especially the northern and western parts of this country”.

“The success story of Dana Airlines in the Nigerian air space in the last ten years is a clear testimony of your commitment to Nigerians and we are proud to be associated with Dana Airlines through this partnership agreement “.

“We will be going into a new NPFL season confident that we will do well to bring glory to all our fans, supporters as well as Dana Air for identifying with and staying by us,”Bassey said.

The Akwa United chairman heaped praises on Governor Udom Emmanuel for providing enabling environment for Akwa United to do well and attract the partnership of credible organisation like Dana Airlines.

With the contract extension, Dana Airlines will be airlifting the Promise Keepers for away matches in the 2018-2019 NPFL season.
