AKWA UTD RELISHES DANA AIRLINES PARTNERSHIP DEAL

The management of Aiteo Cup Champions Akwa United have described the club’s partnership deal with a foremost Airlines in Nigeria Dana Air as rewarding and worthwhile.

Chairman of Akwa United  Elder Paul Bassey in a chat with the club’s media department hinted that the partnership has saved the team the stress of tedious road travels to match Venues.

“Situations like this gives us more reason to continue to appreciate Dana Air for this wonderful partnership deal with our great club.

“Road trip from Uyo to Kano is usually a traumatic experience not only for the players but for the officials as well. Because of the landmark partnership agreement with Dana Air, we have been able to move from Uyo to Kano in less than twelve hours,  a journey that would have taken us two days by road.

” Dana Airlines have demonstrated that they are willing and committed in promoting the growth of football in Nigeria. We will continue to source and negotiate with corporate organisations to partner with us to move our club to enviable heights” said the club boss.

Players and officials of Aiteo Cup Champions Akwa United touched down at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja on board Dana Airlines Sunday morning en route  Kano for Wednesday’s Aiteo Cup quarter final clash with Enugu Rangers.

The Promise Keepers left their base in Uyo in the early hours of Sunday to Port Harcourt where they enjoyed a safe and smooth flight by Dana Airlines to the nation’s capital.

The Champions finished as Group D runners up in the Round of 16 behind Nasarawa United with six points from three games and will battle Enugu Rangers in the last eight of the competition for a chance to pick one of the four semi final tickets.

The two time Federation Cup champions early this year, signed a landmark flight partnership with foremost Airline, Dana Air to be air-lifting the team to away matches.

The historic partnership has eased the Promise Keepers’ movement to match venues in the league and Cup competitions especially to the northern and Western parts of Nigeria.

Akwa United have scored 14 goals in five Aiteo Cup matches and are on course to defend the trophy they won last year.
