AKWA UTD SIGNS BRAZILIAN COACH

Nigeria Professional Football League side Akwa United have secured the services of a Brazilian Rafael Everton as their new Head Coach for the new NPFL season.

Coach Everton who signed a one-year contract was officially presented to sport journalists, fans and other football stakeholders at the unveiling ceremony at the conference room of the Godswill Akpabio international stadium in Uyo on Monday.

The Brazilian who has previously worked with Fluminense FC in Brazil, FC IfeanyiUbah and Abia Warriors is taking over from Coach Abdu Maikaba whose contract expired in September.

In an interaction with sport journalists Coach Rafael Everton said “I like challenging myself and I am in Akwa United to win trophies”.

Coach Everton who took charge of the team’s training session on Monday evening at the training pitch of the Nest of champions was earlier introduced to the Management staff, Technical crew, backroom staff and the players of the team.
