AKWA UTD TRIO HIT SUPER EAGLES CAMP FOR MEXICO FRIENDLY

Three Akwa United players, defender Olisa Ndah, midfielder Seth Mayi and striker Charles Atshimene have arrived the Super Eagles camp in Abuja ahead of the proposed friendly against Mexico billed for 3rd July, 2021 in Los Angeles, USA.
 
 
The three players who were handed a call-up by national team coach Gernot Rohr, landed in the nation’s capital Abuja on Tuesday and checked-in at teams camp, Serob Legacy hotel.
 
They joined up with their compatriots from other Nigeria Professional Football League clubs during the team’s morning training session on Wednesday at the FIFA Goal Project pitch.
 
The three players are integral part of Akwa United who have opened a-four points gap on top of the NPFL table with 53 points from 28 matches.
 
Dependable defender Olisa Ndah has been rated as the best Centre-back in the league following his sterling performances for the Promise Keepers this season.
 
Mercurial midfielder Seth Mayi has been in a fantastic form since joining Akwa United at the start of the season. Seth has played 25 of his team’s 28 games this season, scoring one goal.
 
Prolific striker Charles Atshimene is fast becoming Akwa United’s fans favorites having scored ten goals so far this season. Atshimene with his amazing skills, is an exceptional talent and a real threat to defenders.
 
The Super Eagles home-based team will travel out of the country to USA on Wednesday 30th of June for the friendly which will take place at Los Angeles Memorial Stadium in California on Saturday 3rd July , and will return to the country on Monday 5th July 2021.
