Akwa Ibom state Federation Cup champions Akwa United Football Club have been drawn bye in the first round of the 2018 edition of the competition slated to kickoff later this month.
At the draw ceremony at the Uyo Township Stadium, out of the registered 13 teams, ten were drawn against each other while three teams were drawn bye. Defending champions Akwa United, last year’s beaten finalists Akwa Starlets and Immortality FC were drawn bye by the organisers
The First Round Draws are as follows;
Flying Sports vs Ituen Academy
Macito Solution Fc vs Ibom Youth
Hills Fc vs Casiel Academy
Rapture Academy Vs Pro 2 United
Police Machine FC vs Cofine FC
Meanwhile, in the female category, only two teams Ibom Angels FC and Police Machine Female team registered for the competition. The two teams are will engage each other in the finals.
The winner of the competition in both categories will go home with the sum of One Hundred Thousand Naira only (N=100,000.00) while the
Runners up will receive the sum of Fifty Thousand Naira only (N=50,000.00)
The state FA Cup is billed to kick off on May 12th, 2018
