CONFIDENT LEO PROMISES MORE GOALS

Akwa United striker Leo Ezekiel has promised to score as many goals as possible for the reigning Champions in their quest to defend their NPFL title this season.

Leo who joined Akwa United at the start of the current season has made just one start and six substitute appearances, scoring two goals – the winning goal against Niger Tornadoes in Abuja and the second goal against Wikki Tourists in Uyo on match-day 16.

The youngster who is making his NPFL debut in the colours of Akwa United revealed in an exclusive interview with the club’s official website www.akwaunitedfc.com that his aim is to score more goals and to help the Promise Keepers to win trophies.

“I’m really grateful to God that I have achieve my dream of playing professional football, not just playing but scoring goals at the highest level of club football in Nigeria.

” Having the opportunity to play professional football comes with a big responsibility on my shoulders as a striker. I’m happy that the goals are beginning to come and I’m confident that I will score many more goals for this club.

“I want to thank everyone at Akwa United including the fans for all the support and encouragement I have enjoyed since I arrived at this great club. I want to assure everyone that I will continue to work hard to ensure I score as many goals as possible that will help Akwa United to win trophies this season and in seasons to come,”.

The former Blue Ocean FC striker says beginning his professional football career in a big club like Akwa United is a springboard that will take his career to the highest level.
