Words are certainly not enough to express our sincere gratitude to everyone of our fans, supporters and well wishers who through phone calls, messages, visits and other forms of assistance, sympathised with us following Friday’s unfortunate road accident involving our darling team Akwa United in Enugu on our way to Kaduna.
The tragic experience and the tough time we faced in these few days has opened our eyes to your geniune love, support, words of encouragement, acts of kindness and prayers which helped us in no small measure to get back stronger as a team as witnessed in our last Wednesday’s victory against FC Ifeanyi Ubah.
Your show of love means a lot to us and we are not taking it for granted. From all of us at Akwa United we are grateful to God Almighty for granting all injured members of our team speedy recovery and to all of you for your efforts.
We are grateful to His Excellency Governor Udom Emmanuel, the Honourable Commissioner of Youth and Sports and other members of the State Exco, the Club Owners Association and Clubs especially Rangers FC of Enugu’s Barrister Amobi Ezeaku.
We thank Akwa Ibom NUJ, Akwa Ibom SWAN, our sister club Dakkada FC, friends, well wishers and our numerous supporters across this great country of ours.
