Nigeria Professional Football League Match-day 18 fixture involving Rivers United and Akwa United FC has been rescheduled by the league organisers.
The match which was originally fixed for Sunday, January 14 has been rescheduled to take place on Tuesday 16 January and will kickoff at 4pm at the Adokiye Amiesimaka stadium in Port Harcourt.
In a letter dated Tuesday 9 January and signed by the Chief Operating Officer, Davidson Owomi, the league organisers regretted any inconveniences the change in date may have caused both teams and directed all stakeholders to ensure that all logistics are put in place for a hitch-free match.
Akwa United, 16th on the NPFL log with 18 points from 17 games while 17th placed Rivers United have 17 points thus far but with four games at hand.
