As the kickoff date for the 2023-24 Nigeria Premier Football League season approaches, 2021 league champions Akwa United will on Wednesday 27 September, 2023 officially unveil their new home and away jerseys for the upcoming season.
The new jerseys are designed with the club’s traditional colours of orange and white which are also the official colours of Akwa Ibom State.
The home jersey is designed with orange, black and a touch of brown while the away jersey is predominantly white with a touch of orange. The jerseys are available in all sizes ranging from Extra-large, Large and Medium.
Fans and supporters of the club are invited to witness the unveiling ceremony which is billed to take place at the conference room of the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Nest of Champions by 11am.
According to the team manager of the club Sir Emmanuel Udoh, the jerseys will be sold at an affordable amount. He also revealed that those that will purchase the jerseys on the day of the unveiling ceremony will enjoy a substantial discount.
The Promise Keepers will appear in their new jersey this weekend when they engage Bayelsa United in the opening day of the new season on Saturday 30 September, 2023 at Sampson Siasia stadium in Yenagoa.
